All our sausages are sent frozen, which guarantees maximum freshness and hygiene. From a consumer’s perspective, a ‘fresh’ sausage may seem more appealing than a frozen one. After many years in the industry, however, we can assure you that the frozen sausage does not lose out on taste – on the contrary, flavours are more intense compared to unfrozen products.

We exclusively ship frozen products by express delivery, so that they are generally still frozen on arrival.

Due to lower trading levels outside the BBQ season, we will only send out orders once a week. Orders that are done online before Tuesday 5 pm will be sent out the same Wednesday via Express delivery. Orders that arrive later or on other days will be sent out the following Wednesday via Express delivery. Please note that all express delivery services require a signature upon delivery. Placing the goods in front of the door or a ‘safe’ place is currently not an option. Please make sure that on the day of the expected delivery, someone will be there to take on the delivery parcel. You also have the possibility to get the parcel delivered to your neighbour or work place. Please state this clearly when ordering your goods.

In general, express delivery services do not guarantee delivery on the next day, although the likelihood is high. Particularly before the holidays (Christmas!), delivery of the parcel may take longer than one day. As an online shop, we do not have any influence on this, and thus, also cannot guarantee next day delivery. Be assured, however, that we only use those express services (actually Parcelforce Express24) that convince through swift and reliable delivery of goods to our customers. Nevertheless, our packaging is also suitable to support longer running times than one day if necessary.

Please check the package directly on receipt, and confirm the receipt of damaged packages only if the damage is also confirmed by the messenger in writing. Otherwise, we will not be able to reclaim reimbursement for damaged parcels from the express service and thus will not be able to compensate for your loss.

We use the highest quality refrigeration parcels and Icepacks. Even if the products have already been thawed, they can still be consumed without hesitation for up to 5 days if a product temperature of 7°C has not been exceeded and the products are immediately placed in the refrigerator. However, thawed products must not be frozen again.

In the unlikely event that the products are already completely defrosted upon arrival, please check the temperature of the products with a suitable thermometer. If the temperature is above 7°C, do not consume the products and contact us immediately at shop@chef-hans.uk.
